- ARMSE is an independent, non-profit association formed more than 40 years ago to protect and preserve the retirement and medical benefits offered by MOSERS, MPERS, and MCHCP. ARMSE is an independent association representing both active employees and retirees within the MOSERS and MPERS pension systems and all participants within the MCHCP health insurance system.
- ARMSE is a group of ordinary people, both active employees and retired employees, who when band together, can make enough noise to be heard at the Missouri State Capitol. The goal is to influence the actions and votes of the Missouri General Assembly.
- ARMSE members come from a variety of political persuasions and different corners of the state – the commonality is that members are state employees and state retirees who have earned retirement and medical benefits that must be protected.
- ARMSE was first created to help secure many of the benefits we enjoy today. In the early days, the focus was on enhancing the benefit package to ensure the benefits offered were sufficient to provide a secure retirement for members. Today, the focus has changed to protecting these benefits.
- Joining ARMSE is like purchasing an insurance policy – it means you have a dedicated group of people working behind the scenes at the State Capitol to help protect what we have earned, count on and deserve. In recent years, more than 25 pieces of legislation were introduced that attacked state employee benefits.
